Mission Statement

The mission of the CASA program of the United Way of Berks County is to provide efficient, thorough, quality advocacy to children who enter the court system as a result of abuse and/or neglect. The porgram strives to help move children more quickly through the court system to a safe, permanent placement. The CASA program will strive to mirror the ethnic background of children in foster care through the content of its training, the recruitment of staff and volunteers, program policies, and decisions regarding individual children.
