The mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Delaware is to provide children facing adversity withwith strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one mentoring relationships that change their lives for the better, forever.

Description

Since 1964, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Delaware has been providing high-quality mentoring services for children throughout Delaware. Our service is based on a one-to-one relationship between an adult volunteer and a young person who needs extra adult attention and guidance. Volunters serve as friends, mentors, and role models, helping children (who are primarily from single-parent homes) gain greater self-confidence. "Bigs" encourage "Littles" to realize their potential and to see themselves as having happy and successful futures.

I feel like helping children is essential especially with children that have a bad background and feel like no one is on their side this program will be able to help them feel worth it
