Mission Statement

The Greene County Court Appointed Special Advocate CASA Program is an organization of volunteers which advocate for abused, neglected and dependent children in Juvenile Court procedures. Ensuring thorough, timely and sensitive resolutions to their best interest. Every child must have a voice in court.

Description

Trained community volunteers that research cases of abuse, neglect and dependency for Juvenile Court. Becoming the eyes and the ears for judges, becoming a powerful voice for a child in the court system by interviewing significant individuals that can bring information to the case, i.e., teachers, parents, grandparents, medicatl professionals, etc. Submitting a written report with recommendations to the court based on the information gathered.
