Mission Statement

The mission of Laramie County Head Start is to enhance the self worth and social competence of the children and families we serve through meaningful activities, positive reinforcement, and acceptance.

Description

Laramie County Head Start is a federally funded, non-profit child development program for low-income children and families who meet 100% of the federal poverty level. We currently serve 200 children in a center based program in Cheyenne, WY and 12 children in a home-base program in Eastern Laramie County. We are a comprehensive program that encompasses the entire family. Our program includes preschool education, free health, and developmental screenings, nutritious meals and snacks, and family services. Our goal is to ensure that all children are given the opportunity to enter Kindergarten ready to learn and to ensure that all families succeed.
