Mission Statement

To preserve the history of Lyons, past and present, for future generations through Oral History recordings.

Description

We video tape seniors memoirs. Volunteers help us make dvd copies, or transcribe interviews. They can also help at the Historic Museum. 75% of our volunteers are seniors; 25% are middle-aged. Most are novices, but 15% have previous experience. It works out best when the person lives in the Lyons area. (Out of state volunteers have been a failure)
