Mission Statement

The Guardian ad litem Program of the Second Judicial Circuit creates a support system that protects the best interests of children who are identified and referred to the program by the judicial system.

Description

Recruits, trains, certifies, and supervises volunteers to act as court appointed special advocates for children involved in court proceedings as a result of having been abused, abandoned, neglected, victims of / witnesses to crime, or involved in custody/visitation disputes between the parents.

I have volunteered with this organization for a couple of years now and I cannot say enough great things about this organization. The people are dedicated professionals that go out of their way to keep children safe. I am a current volunteer with this group and probably always will be. It's all about the children.
