Mission Statement

The mission of Maryland CASA Association is to support the development, growth and continuation of Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) programs in Maryland, which recruit, train and supervise volunteers who are appointed by the court to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children.

Maryland CASA is a statewide private, non-profit organization, incorporated in 1997 to support the growth of CASA programs in the State of Maryland through increasing public awareness, technical assistance to affiliated CASA programs and program development assistance to jurisdictions interested in starting CASA programs.

Foster youth are some of the most vulnerable individuals in society. Maryland CASA and each of the local programs offers extensive training and a structured, supportive environment for volunteering with foster children and youth who need you to speak up on their behalf.
