Mission Statement

Snowflake Animal Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping as many stray animals as possible find loving, permanent homes. All "staff members" are volunteers who do this work because they love animals.

We are an all volunteer organization that takes in stray and abandoned cats, kittens, dogs and puppies, provides necessary veterinary care, and finds good homes for them. We are a small group and every volunteer counts.

Would you recommend Snowflake Animal Rescue?

by Joyce S. (September 3, 2015)
Snowflake is a wonderful animal rescue. I recommend volunteering with them 100%. I wished I started helping as a caretaker sooner. The atmosphere is not sad, because the beautiful cats are not in cages. The location is very convenient. It is right off Six Forks Road (1 mile South of Millbrook Rd.) This volunteer opportunity is great for high school/college students, retirees-anyone. The couple who runs the rescue are super nice & accommodating. All you need to give is 1-2 hours a week. If you need to change your time one week, they are flexible, as well as if you can't make it once in a while, they understand that too. The only requirement is to be comfortable around multiple cats and to love them. Give it a try-you'll be glad that you did. :)
