Mission Statement
In our CREATIVE MENTORING program, our mission is to develop mentors who will uncover the full potential of their protege and help the child to find a way to express his or her uniqueness through social and cultural means. Our RUNNING PROGRAM is a collaboration with a well-known running organization which enables at-risk (at-promise) students to realize their potential, enhance their self-esteem, and plot a new course for their future by providing them with a truly life-changing experience -- training for and completing a 26.2-mile marathon.
Description
Our organization works collaboratively in partnerships with organizations that are dedicated to the same values and principles to which we hold. We focus on the development of the potential of each protege in the following areas: enhancement of resiliency and asset building; improved critical thinking skills; improved behavioral self-management, and personal and social competence; increased character development; improved building of self-reliance; improved relationships between each protege and his or her school, community and family members; improved health.
