Mission Statement

WISE Senior Services' Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program is federally mandated to investigate complaints related to the protection or promotion of patients' rights in nursing homes and other long-term care facilities.

Description

As the largest ombudsman program in California monitoring over 2,500 facilities, we have eleven regional offices to serve individuals throughout the County of Los Angeles. These offices are located in Santa Monica, Downtown Los Angeles, Reseda, Arcadia, Lakewood, San Dimas, Lancaster, Downey, and Burbank. Each office is in need of volunteers to help investigate a full scope of concerns ranging from the improper handling of patients to the improper use of physical restraints.
