The Corner Clubhouse is a psychosocial rehabilitation program dedicated to educational and social support for mental health consumers.
The Corner Clubhouse is a non-profit, pre-vocational and socialization facility for adults with mental illness. Our members range from young adult to senior citizen. Their diagnoses' can be anywhere from moderate depression to schizophrenia and span the severity scale. We operate this facility on a shoestring budget. We are partially funded by the county and the Community Research Foundation. We provide lunch and breakfast at a nominal charge to our members, which, most of the time, is cooked by them. We also have training opportunites in the areas of janitorial skills, cooking skills, receptionist skills as well as a coffee cart to learn how to become a barista. We have educational opportunities for computer operations and are currently putting together an art and drama expression program.
