Persuasively Speaking (Reach Pull Push)

Description

Persuasively Speaking is an outreach of Reach Pull Push, a nonprofit organization dedicated to reaching for those at-risk, those in need and those with self-doubt. Persuasively Speaking is the only youth-based nonprofit program in the greater Puget Sound area that is solely dedicated to improving public speech through hands on training and confidence building exercises. The goal of our program is to enhance oral communication skills by introducing students to public speaking, not generally part of their school curriculum. Our workshops will be split into four sessions. Each session will be 2 hours and offered once a week for four consecutive weeks. Persuasively Speaking is in a position to capture a significant portion of today's youth, while providing and maintaining a free speech environment. Persuasively Speaking will differentiate itself from other organizations through fun interactive workshops, forums, oratorical contests, and the development of our own workbooks and interactive CD ROMs. Persuasively Speaking will provide instruction from novice to advance on the following: Composing persuasive, informative and entertaining speeches Impromptu Speaking Style, Delivery and Creativity PowerPoint Presentations Visual Aids Citing Sources
