Mission Statement

Helping Hand Religious Center, Inc., founded in 1975 by Rev. Clarence L. Clark and other members interested in serving the needs of the community (s) where they are located. These members approached the programs that were developed with the concept of the "Learner Being the Teacher." The four entities, youth, seniors, disabled and incarcerated individuals, being a much needed recipient of services, were believed to be able to serve a perhaps more important and impacting role as a provider of services. They possess qualities, strengths and potential that were currently being overlooked and unused. The organization has done much with few, now we are seeking to more with many, In order to get people to understand and participate in their religious well being, we must insure that the whole person needs are met. We are seeking individuals, groups, organization and business, to work with us in serving the "Whole Person."

Description

The organization mission is to promote the physical improvement and economic well being of deteriorating areas of Los Angeles and the surrounding communities; to expand the economic opportunities of the residents of these areas through the development of housing for low income individuals, elderly and developmental disabled individuals; and to do all lawful activities which may be necessary, usful or desirable for the furtherance, accomplishment, fostering, or attaining of the foregoing purposes, either directly or indirectly, and either alone or in conjunction or cooperation with others. We believe that the "Whole Person" needs to be served.
