Mission Statement

The Long Island State Veterans Home strives to provide the highest quality health care for veterans, and serves as a model site for research and the education and training of health care professionals in long-term care.

Description

The Long Island State Veterans Home is a 350-bed skilled nursing facility located on 25 wooded acres on the campus of the State University of NY at Stony Brook. The Veterans Home was opened in October of 1991, and since then, has provided state-of-the-art care to more than 1,500 veterans of the United States armed forces. The Home is operated under the auspices of the Health Science Center of the State University of NY at Stony Brook.

My husband is a veteran and I know what the veterans go through. I would love to volunteer my time and help as I retired myself. Patty Corn
