Mission Statement

The mission of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is to provide free personal income tax assistance to low income, non-English speaking, handicapped individuals and members of the U. S. Armed Forces.

Description

The VITA program is sponsored by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the State of California Franchise Tax Board (FTB). Volunteers who have successfully completed an IRS/FTB income tax workshop, provide assistance to these taxpayers at sites in their communities. This is a joint cooperative effort between IRS and FTB to provide FREE QUALITY service to those who truly need and seek our help. Recieve free training and upon successful completion of the income tax workshop
