Mission Statement
The Topeka Performing Arts Center is a cultural, entertainment, and education entity. Our mission is to foster the performing arts through excellence in programming, and by providing leadership to meet the diverse cultural needs of our community. TPAC is a catalyst for enriching the quality of life and economic vitality of Topeka and Northeast Kansas by providing a diverse offering of arts, educational, and entertainment events that can be enjoyed and supported by all segments of the public. Since 1991, TPAC has offered a full calendar of professional and community performing arts for companies and organizations' special needs, and performance space rentals to community arts organizations.
Description
TPAC is a private 501 - (c) - (3) non-profit, held in the public trust and governed by a private and seperate board of trustees. TPAC is the only full-time professional arts presenter in Topeka. TPAC serves as a catalyst for other presenters in our community, in 1999-2000 TPAC collaborated on a total of nearly 170 perfomances and events out of which 76 were community arts or youth and education events serving more than 63,000 people.
