Description

Family Service Agency is Santa Barbara County's first and oldest non-profit, non-sectarian human service agency. Since 1899, we have pursued our mission with a comprehensive array of mental health and social services for children, families and seniors, which touch the lives of over 30,000 people every year. Our programs directly address a broad spectrum of individual and family needs and connect people to a multitude of additional programs provided by other agencies, both private and public. The range of needs we address is so extensive that any member of the community may have cause to turn to FSA for support at some time in his or her life. Whatever the problem -- a lack of basic necessities, family violence, isolation, depression, threat of suicide, marital problems, parenting difficulties, frailty due to aging or children who are at risk -- FSA can make a fundamental difference in people's lives. Our programs are either free of charge or available on a sliding fee scale based upon ability to pay.
