Rolling Readers

Description

Rolling Readers recruits, trains and places volunteers to read aloud or tutor reading to primarily disadvantaged/at risk children ages pre-K-5th grade in Title One Schools, shelters, childcare/community and interfaith centers. The volunteer can select the site they wish to serve in. In addition, each child received a brand new book twice per year (Dec. and May). We also collaborate with middle and high schools to train their teenagers to "bring books to life". The teens will read aloud to the younger children based near their school on a weekly basis.
