Mission Statement

For 50 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the National Capital Area has made a positive difference in the lives of children from single-parent families through professionally supported, long-term, One-To-One mentoring relationships with carefully screened, caring and committed adults. Critical components of our mission are the advocacy, crisis intervention, resource referrals and casework support provided to single parents.
