To work toward a more just and peaceful world by providing international and intercultural learning experiences to individuals, families, schools, and communities trhough a global volunteer partnership.

Description

AFS provides opportunities for families to exerience the culture of one of nearly 50 countries by volunteering to host a foreign exchange high school student for a semester or a full school year. Opportunities for American high school students to study abroad and live with a family are also available. As a volunteer organization, AFS offers many other opportunities. AFS matches volunteer's interests and talents with positions that help support and enrich the student's experiences. Volunteer positions require varying amounts of time.
