Description

The Barnacle Historic State Park is a special feature site in the Florida Park Service. Being the oldest residence in Miami-dade County in it's original location, it is one of the pioneer homesteads in South Florida. It is a museum consisting of the home, boathouse & grounds of Commodore Ralph M. Munroe. The Munroes lived here from 1886 until 1973 when it became a state park.
