Mission Statement

The Dublin Singers is Dublin, Ohio's Community Chorus. As such, it provides an opportunity for singers beyond high school age who enjoy singing a wide variety of choral music: sacred, secular, classical, popular, show tunes and folk tunes to perform for the mutual benefit of their fellow singers and the community of Dublin. The Dublin Singers, individuals who are drawn and bound together by a common love of music and an uncommon desire to perform professionally while retaining individual professions, have one common goal: to make and share "beautiful" music.

Description

The Dublin Singers is a community organization. Membership is open to adults from Dublin and surrounding communities. Weekly rehearsals run from September through April or May. Additional rehearsals may be scheduled on an as-needed basis, depending on performance commitments. The Dublin Singers present two major performances each year. At the beginning of December, we present our Christmas concert. The concert is an hour in length and includes selections of sacred and secular music of the season. It is presented free of charge - our gift of song to the Dublin community. Our Spring Show includes a wide range of popular music, as well as costume and set changes. The Spring Show is generally two hours in length including intermission. There is an admission charge for this performance. In addition, the Dublin Singers perform shorter concerts at a number of different community events. They are also available to perform at private functions for a fee, depending on the availability of members. Members pay annual dues, and are expected to purchase their own costumes. If this presents a financial burden, arrangements may be made in consultation with the Director.
