Mission Statement

The Bureau's singular mission is to enhance San Francisco's economy by marketing the City as a site for conventions and trade shows and as destination for pleasure travelers. Additionally, the Bureau provides information services to facilitate a quality visitor experience and enhance the visibility of its members.

Description

The Bureau is a private, non-profit association with a membership of nearly 2,000 Bay Area businesses. Since its beginning in 1909, the sole objective of the Bureau has been to strengthen the local economy by marketing San Francisco as a destination for meetings, conventions, trade shows and leisure travel. This is done through sales, advertising and promotion and by providing services to enhance the visitor experience.
