*To provide a community-wide effort to prevent and combat the spread of HIV/AIDS through education and awareness. *To provide a compassionate response to the needs of HIV-infected persons, those living with AIDS, their loved ones and caregivers.

Description

The North Georgia AIDS Alliance, formed in 1998, is the only agency of its kind in the northeast Georgia area. Presently it is entirely volunteer-driven. Efforts have been concentrated in public awareness activities, particularly among young people. The Alliance does not offer direct client services but serves as a resource referral and offers assistance to clients and families in conjunction with other programs.
