Manhattan Ensemble Theater

Mission Statement

Manhattan Ensemble Theater (M.E.T.) is New York City's only stage company devoted to producing world-premiere adaptations of classic novels and other works of literature. In a season of 3 to 4 plays produced in its SoHo space, M.E.T. provides a home for the ongoing development of the dramatization as a literary form in American theater. In so doing M.E.T. hopes to provide a place where theatergoers can experience riveting, emotionally cathartic and narratively epic theater: dramatic qualities innate to the original source material.
