The mission of the Palmer Drug Abuse Program is to be the most effective prevention and recovery program helping young people and families avoid or recover from the devastating effects of drug and alcohol abuse.
The Palmer Drug Abuse Program (PDAP) has been providing free drug and alcohol prevention and recovery services to Houston area young people ages 12-25 and their parents since 1971. Since that time, we have saved thousands of young lives and provided countless others with the tools necessary to achieve and maintain a healthy, productive, substance-free lifestyle.
PDAP currently operates out of five satellite offices located throughout Houston and all of our offices provide a complete set of services for young people who are struggling with substance abuse. Based on the principles of Alcoholics Anonymous, PDAP offers crisis intervention, client assessments and referrals, twelve-step support group meetings for both young people and their parents, individual and family counseling sessions, recovery groups and educational workshops for teens and families, retreats and supervised social activities every weekend.
