Started in 1991 by Barbara Gregory, a long-time cat owner, the Club was set up to provide support for people who had lost their felines pets. Cats Are People, Too! is dedicacated to caring for abused, lost, stray and homeless cats in a loving, caring manner. No animal that comes into our care is ever euthanized, regardless of their physical condition, if they can be humanely saved, based on a veterinarian's evaluation. The key objectives are to provide care for abused, lost, stray and homeless cats and to provide education and infomration about the care and needs of cats. In the future, Cats Are People Too plans to expand their educational services and to promote the spaying and neutering of every animal possible. We believe this is the only way to eliminate the millions of unwanted litters of kittens who often never find homes and only end up being a statistic in the list of homeless, helpless, abused and destroyed animals. We are an organization made up entirely of caring people who volunteer their time and are funded through donations.
