The mission of the Trust (originally, the Pennypack Watershed Association) is to protect,restore and preserve the natural lands of the central Pennypack Creek valley.

Description

The Pennypack Ecological Restoration Trust is a 30 year old, private, non-profit conservation organization located in Huntingdon Valley, PA. In 1975, the board of the Trust adopted a master plan for a Pennypack Preserve with the goal of preserving 855 acres of environmentally sensitive land. The Trust is presently the steward of 683 acres of land which includes 200 year-old woodlands, broad expanses of floodplain forest, and a collection of succesional fields, open water marsh, and grasslands that provides habitat for a wide variety of birds and other wildlife.
