Mission Statement

Marist Volunteers help enable Christian men & women to carry out their baptismal call by sharing a life of community living with vowed Marist religious, and service to all--especially the most needy and neglected.

Description

Our volunteer program asks its volunteers to practice simple living, within the context of a faith-based community. The program begins in August, and ends in June. Commitment is renewable. Transportation, loan deferrment, room & board, monthly personal & modest telephone allowance, and basic medical insurance are provided. Marist Volunteers are enrolled as Americorps members, and as such will receive an education award upon successful completion of the service period.
