Mission Statement
The mission of The Resource Partnership (TRP) is to improve the quality of life of persons with disabilities by uniting employers, rehabilitation and referral agencies, and people with disabilities. Through education and outreach, we strive to ensure that every qualified individual with a disability is employed in an environment free of physical and attitudinal barriers that will allow for the greatest level of independence and success.
Description
The Resource Partnership provides job placement assistance services to individuals with disabilities who, once placed in employment, are able to perform their jobs independently, generally requiring no more supervision and training than would ordinarily be provided by the employer. Individuals served are primarily those whose lives and careers have been interrupted by injury or illness and who are in the process of re-entering the work force either in their former field of work, or in a new field selected to reflect their current abilities. There is no cost to the consumer for services. To the employer community, The Resource Partnership provides the referral of pre-screened, qualified job candidates, post-employment follow-up services, and technical assistance throughout the application and hiring process. Technical assistance may be provided in the areas of interviewing techniques, reasonable accommodations, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and accessing tax credits. Additional services are available such as the option to hire employees on a temp-to-hire basis, disability awareness and sensitivity training, outplacement services, and ADA accessibility evaluations of buildings and company property. The Resource Partnership provides services to rehabilitation agencies and other referral sources and their consumers including identifying job ready candidates, interview skills training, resume and reference development, employment and career counseling, and direct referral to hiring employers.
