Mission Statement

The mission of TLC is to provide shelter and social services to children and youth who are experiencing abuse, neglect or family disruption.

Description

We have seven programs: 1)Shelter Homes that shelter abused children. 2)Foster Care 3) Special Needs Adoption 4)Attendant Care helps children in THEIR own home who have mental health issues to keep them out of hospitals. 5) Juvenile offenders come to our downtown location instead of the police station to get booked. There they and their families received social services. 6) Case Management for truant youth and youth at risk of re-offending the law. 7) Youth who are in crisis (run away youth and/or homeless) recieve counseling through our 24 hr. hotline 913-764-2961
