Mission Statement

To facilitate the healing of crime victims and survivors and to reduce the trauma of victimization. By introducing crime victims to new skills, information, and resources, we support and assist them to heal, rediscover their power, and begin working on their own behalf. We commit to providing advocacy and support services that are responsive to both the individual's and the community's well-being. We value humanity, respect the dignity of every crime victim, and provide compassionate services with integrity, commitment, and enthusiasm. We recognize and strive to alleviate secondary victimization and injury. We commit to serve victims respectfully, regardless of ability, age, familial formation, gender, race, religion, nationality, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, size, and other social or cultural groupings.

Description

Our program encourages and facilitates victims' involvement in and participation with the criminal justice system through education, notification of court dates, emotional support, connection with community resources, and by encouraging people to report crimes. Further, we promote social change through education, training, and public policy advocacy.
