Volunteers Urgently Needed At New Temporary Location

We are urgently looking for volunteers to prepare and package meals to our seriously ill clients in Los Angeles County. Prepare & package meals at our kitchen in the heart of Lincoln Hei;ghts. Our volunteers bring hope and nutrition to those struggling with hunger and illness. Help us prepare the over 3,000 meals we make every day. Join us at Project Angel Food! Mission: Project Angel Food provides free and nutritious meals to men, women and children affected by HIV/AIDS, cancer, and other life-threatening illnesses. Volunteers and staff cook and deliver more than 18,000 meals a week to 2,600 clients of all ages and backgrounds. Volunteer Roles & Responsibilities: Kitchen and Dispatch shifts: Mornings - 8:15am-12:pm, Sunday thru Friday. Afternoons - 1pm-4pm, Sunday thru Friday. * All volunteers must be scheduled. No walk-ins or unscheduled family/friends are permitted. * Minimum age for volunteers in the kitchen is 14 years old. Anyone 14 or 15 years old must be always accompanied by an adult. * An orientation will be held at the start of each volunteer’s first kitchen shift. This is mandatory. We are looking for volunteers to deliver meals to our seriously ill neighbors. Delivery routes are an opportunity to not only deliver medically tailored meals to people in need, but also a smile and compassion. Our volunteers bring hope and nutrition to those struggling with hunger and illness. Join us at Project Angel Food! There are usually 10 stops for each route. Deliveries are done in your own vehicle. It usually takes about 2 hours. There is no age restriction for ride- along delivery volunteers. Upcoming available meal delivery routes: (One time fill-in or regular gig) Tuesdays, North Hollywood Wednesdays, Hollywood/West Hollywood Thursdays, Hollywood Fridays, Hollywood These routes are picked up at 870 Vine Street between 9am -10am. Sunday. Glendale/Burbank These routes are picked up at 230 West Ave 26 between 9am -10am.
