Description

Created by President Roosevelt in 1937 to find a cure for polio. After finding the cure, the March of Dimes focused its efforts on saving the lives of babies. The MOD has funded research that has created the neonatal intenstive care unit, the PKU screening test and Apgar test, folic acid, surfactant therapy, and much more.
