Mission Statement

The Mission of the Albuquerque Cat Action Team: - provide a safe heaven in the form of foster homes for stray, orphaned, abused and neglected cats and kittens in the Albuquerque metropolitan area. - provide veterinarian care for the cats and kittens who come into the foster program. - ensure that all cats and kittens who come into our program and/or are adopted through A.C.A.T. are spayed or neutered before adoption. - assist owners, through our surrender and adoption program, with re-housing their cats when their cats are no longer wanted. - relocate cats and kittens into permanent, loving homes through our adoption program. - educate the public regarding the necessity of spay/neuter and responsible pet ownership. - provide counseling and advice regarding behavioral and cat care issues. - limit pet over-population by engaging in the trap-neuter-release (TNR) of feral cats in our community.
