Mission Statement

PFLAG strives to support parents of gays on their journey to acceptance of their gay and lesbian children, and to dispel myths about the gay orientation among the society around us.

Description

Greater Providence PFLAG is one of over 400 chapters in PFLAG, a 30-year-old grass-roots national organization. Parents meet monthly to share friendship and support. Gays and lesbians attend to support our work and to receive help in relating to their parents. We also tell misinformed local media and officials the truth about our children, and we defend their human rights.
