Description
The Art Museum of Greater Lafayette offers permanent collection galleries that highlight holdings of American and Indiana painting, works on paper, and pottery. Changing displays in this area include selections from The Edward Stowe Akeley Collection, focusing primarily on Latin American prints and paintings, an object of the month, and works from The Alice Baber Midwest Modern Art Collection. Two galleries are devoted to traveling and temporary exhibitions; the McDonald Gallery's focus is on local and regional artists. The Warren N. Eggleston Children's Activity Area adjoins these galleries offering young people hands-on projects and touchable art. Also featured is a Museum Store. Suggested admission is $2 for adults, 18 and over, $1 for Senior Citizens, 65 and over, children are free. Open Tuesday-Sunday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; closed Mondays and major holidays.
