Mission Statement
To educate citizens about the environmental voting records of their elected officials and to hold those elected officials accountable for their votes.
Description
OLCV researches and monitors the voting records of elected officials and publishes this information at the conclusion of every Oregon Legislative Session. This Environmental Scorecard helps citizens distinguish between politicians who are truly "green" and those who are merely "greenscamming."
OLCV also regularly publishes the Environmental Handbook, which serves as an easy-to-use source of information on Oregon's most critical environmental issues. It provides background information on subjects such as water quality and forest protections, as well as an in-depth discussion of current policy as it relates to the subject at the state level.
