Mission Statement

The mission of the agency is to provide public, individual, and group care for the citizens of Kenosha County in cooperation with the social, health, and family service branches of county, state, and federal government. Care shall be in the least restrictive manner and will include group type treatment facilities, as well as other services to enable the public in need to learn new skills and adapt to acceptable community living standards and practices.

Description

Kenosha Human Development Services, Inc. (KHDS) is a private, non-profit, social service agency that is a 501(c)3 corporation. We have been in existence for 22 years and have a diverse community-based board of directors. The agency's mission is to provide a variety of social service programs in cooperation with local, state, and federal government entities. Our goal is to empower clients to live in the community in the least restrictive setting. To achieve that end, we emphasize individual treatment planning, teaching skills to empower clients, flexibility in each program, and a variety of programs. The agency is committed to achieving maximum client involvement, investment, and responsibility for any service plan that is developed to address the client's needs. Agency prograns include residential programs, case mamagemnet, community system service coordination, assessment, and crisis intervention.
