Agency ProfileColumbus Area Community Mental Health Center (CACMHC) was incorporated as a private, not-for-profit service organization on November 9, 1965. The Center is certified by the State of Ohio Department of Mental Health and is recognized as a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code. With the development of federal and state resources, CACMHC became Franklin County's first comprehensive mental health center designated to meet the needs of a specific geographic community. And as its community has evolved, CACMHC has responded by placing great emphasis on providing services that are culturally and ethnically sensitive and appropriate, In addition, the efforts put forth by the dedicated professionals of CACMHC are directed toward helping consumers maintain themselves in the community, in settings that they find most preferable. CACMHC, Inc. is governed by an elected Board of Trustees, employs a wide range of administrative, support and clinical staff such as social workers, counselors, nurses, psychiatrists and occupational therapists. CACMHC also contracts with psychologists for clinical assessment services. All staff work together as a team to provide quality services to consumers.
