Zohar is dedicated to promoting dance as an art form in the community and as a catalyst for personal development and academic achievement in youth.

Description

Founded in August 1983, Zohar fulfills its mission through its core programs: Zohar School of Dance, a professional studio; Zohar Dance Company, an adult jazz dance performing company; Community Outreach with IndepenDANCE, a dance education and performance program for at-risk youth and Juvie Jazz, a dance program for incarcerated youths; and Dance Mosaic Performance Series, an annual showcase of Bay Area dance.
