Mission Statement

BBF provides free early intervention services to families with children who are visually impaired or blind, that encourage the child's development to the fullest degree possible.

Description

BBF services are provided by 15 vision impairment specialists, called home counselors, in 19 counties in CA. Home counselors work with the families to provide: crisis intervention at the time of visual diagnosis, a developmental plan for the child and family, regularly scheduled home visits, liason for families with medical & educational communities, language interpretation, resources, family events, and transition services for children entering public preschool programs.
