Center for Community Peacemaking (CCP)

Description

CCP is a not-for-profit faith based Restorative Justice Agency that receives formal and informal cases from the Juvenile Probation and Parole office and also referrals from Youth Aid Panels. CCP is the recipient of the President's Daily Point of Light Award which recongizes its efforts in providing long-term solutions to youth issues. Victims and offenders are brought together to address the harm that comes from crime. Offenders hold themsleves accountabile, learn the impact of their actions and make amends. Victims have an opportunity to tell of their experiences (part of healing), work towards closer, put a face to the incident, get questions answered and have their needs met.
