To promote the fitness and self-esteem of women by supporting their participation in the Danskin Women's Triathlon series. The race benefits the Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

Description

I, the volunteer manager, am part of a team that produces the Seattle Danskin Women's Triathlon. I support the race by recruiting volunteers to support the race. Volunteers are the key to a successful, fun, and safe race as many participants are first-time triathletes. The race series includes a mentor/mentee program, matching first-time racers with those with experience, as well as Team Survivor, a support network for women who have survived cancer and to honor cancer survivors and build cancer awareness.
