Del Rio Council for the Arts

Description

The Del Rio Council for the Arts has been an award-winning arts council for the last 23 years. The identity of the organization has become known as "The Firehouse" since the DRCA is housed in the original Firehouse, City Hall and Jail of Del Rio. The organization focuses on the visual arts by featuring local and touring art exhibitions in the Firehouse Gallery and the performing arts with a Firehouse Fantastics season of touring performances presented at the historic Paul Poag Theatre. An emphasis on art education is accomplished with a full adult and youth class schedule as well as free educational opportunities for local people from visiting artists.
