The Chicago Children's Choir is a multiracial, multicultural choral music education, shaping the future by making a difference in the lives of children and youth through musical excellence.

Description

Founded in 1956, the Chicago Children's Choir is America's largest, most comprehensive organization devoted to the musical education of children. The Choir is currently serves nearly 3,000 singers citywide. The Choir has programs in 40 Chicago Schools; After-School Programs with Neighborhood Choirs in four locations: Beverly/Morgan Park, DePaul, Hyde Park, and Rogers Park neighborhoods, in addition to the world-renowned Concert Choir.The Choir has performed throughout the United States, South Africa, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Italy, the Ukraine, Russia, and Great Britain. As Chicago's musical youth ambassadors, the singers have performed at numerous cultural, civic and corporate events through out the city of Chicago. Additionally, The Choir has performed in concert with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Chorus, the Lyric Opera of Chicago, and the Joffrey Ballet of Chicago.
