PPHPC Complimentary Therapies is an innovative program with an excellent national reputation. Volunteers contribute in numerous ways to complement traditional patient care through Music, Animal Companions, Touch Therapies, singing, sewing busy quilts, making lap blankets, tending to aviaries, and many more.

Hospice Companion Volunteer

Companion Volunteers Volunteers help promote Pikes Peak Hospice by providing emotional support to patients and families in a variety of settings. In home care, volunteers spend quality time with patients and offer brief, but much needed respite for families. Long term care volunteers offer socialization to patients who might not receive it otherwise, often taking them out of their rooms to participate in community activities. Our vigil volunteers support actively dying patients and their families in a very special way. All volunteers represent the heart of hospice and provide the compassion patients deserve.

Hospice Home Care Volunteer

Help a hospice patient at home! Provide companionship to a patient by reading, sitting with a patient, talking (life review), playing cards / games, knitting, watching TV / movies. You might also be able to help with light housekeeping (like vacuuming, dusting, washing dishes, helping with laundry). Be a presence for a patient and make a positive difference in someone's life!
