Mission Statement

Centro Latino de Educacion Popular (CLEP) is dedicated to offering educational opportunities to those without access to other educational resources to foster their self-confidence, open doors to new opportunities, and help them achieve their goals. Goals: 1. To teach basic reading and writing skills 2. To improve functional and vocational skills 3. To foster self-confidence and empower participants to take pro-active steps to improve their futures 4. To nurture a sense of accomplishment and joy in learning

Description

CLEP offers in-depth, quality programs to over 500 Latino adults and children each year at our three education centers. The Children's Education Center offers specialized, intensive programs for kindergarteners and 1st graders to set them on the path to academic achievement. The Adult Education Center provides Basic Adult Literacy in Spanish, Functional Skills, and English as a Second Language classes, and the Technology Education Center makes state-of-the-art computer and bilingual computer instruction accessible to low-income adults and children.
