Mission Statement

The mission of Travelers Aid Society, operator of the Salt Lake Community Shelter and Resource Center, is to provide people with emergency assistance and opportunities to take steps out of homelessness by helping them make the transition to independent living.

Description

Travelers Aid operates a Family Shelter for single or married parents with children, a Women's Shelter and a Men's Shelter. On any given night, up to 30 families, 40 women and 240 men are accomodated. Each individual or family is assigned a case manager who assists them in defining problems, identifying soluntions, setting goals and reaching them.
