Mission Statement

The mission of Morris County Historical Society is to preserve and promote the history of Morris County, New Jersey.

Description

Morris County Historical Society a member-supported, 501(c)3 non-profit, and welcomes new members and volunteers interested in preserving local historic treasures. MCHS is headquartered at Acorn Hall, an Italianate mansion located in Morristown, NJ. The Society operates Acorn Hall as a historic house museum, produces exhibitions on local history, and provides public programming on Morris County history. Our offices are open weekdays between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm. The museum is open to the public on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 11 am-4 pm, and on Sundays from 1-4 pm.
